Q-Park has been awarded the tender by the City of Clichy
- Press release
Q-Park has been awarded the tender by the City of Clichy for the concession of a structure to be built under the Gambetta alleys as well as the development of a second car park on rue Auboin.
Q-Park, a major stakeholder in the parking industry in Europe, signed a public service delegation contract with the City of Clichy on May 18, 2008, for the construction of a new underground structure with 357 spaces and the development of a second 200-space structure, and their operation for a period of 30 years.
Q-Park will build and manage a new parking lot under Gambetta alleys
At the end of the town council meeting held in Clichy on 13 May 2019, Q-Park France was awarded the contract to build the new Gambetta car park with 357 spaces on 3 underground levels. Located in the heart of the city, between rue Martre and rue Gaston Paymal, this destination car park will be ideally located for the Clichois.
The main pedestrian exit will be oriented rue Martre to facilitate connection to the user's centres of interest (restaurants and shops on Place des Martyrs, town hall, Léo Delibes Conservatory). The vehicle accesses have been designed so as not to interfere with the connection with rue Martre and not to disturb the entrances and exits of the Rutebeuf theatre.
This project will target the flow of cars arriving from Paris upstream from the city centre, and will constitute an essential equipment to relieve congestion in the urban centre and improve the attractiveness and quality of life of the Clichois. Work on the Gambetta car park is expected to start in the second quarter of 2020. The car park is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2021.
Q-Park's "House Style" design, a guarantee of excellence
This new car park will benefit from all the expertise and know-how of Q-Park. It will be built according to the company's "House Style" design, a unique concept in Europe aimed at offering users the experience of a very high quality parking lot:
- One-way traffic lanes,
- Spiked parking spaces for easier manoeuvring
- Comfortable spots without pillars between them
- Fast descent and ascent ramps,
- Accessibility for people with reduced mobility
- Two-wheelers spots
- Charging stations for electric vehicles
- Efficient signage and enhanced lighting
The management and development of the Auboin car park by Q-Park
Built by the local semi-public company CITALLIOS, the new Auboin car park will be equipped by Q-Park: installation of the operating room, painting of the park, video surveillance, installation of signage and toll equipment. This 200-space car park will open to the public in the first quarter of 2020.
Close to Saint-Ouen and easily accessible from the new Judicial City of Clichy Batignolles, the Auboin car park is part of the new PERISIGHT real estate complex comprising 10,000 m² of offices and a 3-star hotel with 160 rooms. This car park will be intended both for customers frequenting the new complex, but also for residents of the district or employees working in the business park near the border with Saint-Ouen. It will also be able to welcome visitors to the new Maison du Peuple in Clichy, which is scheduled to open in 2022.

The total initial investment planned for the two car parks is €18 million. Q-Park and the City have jointly defined the pricing of the Gambetta and Auboin car parks in order to promote short-term parking and, consequently, better accessibility to the city centre for residents. For these two parks, the first 30 minutes will be free, the first hour is at 1.70€. The resident subscription is 130€/month.
Clichy, a growing city
Located northwest of Paris, Clichy is a city of 60,000 inhabitants, where more than 40,000 people come to work every day. Many large group headquarters are located there (L'Oréal, Bic, Etam, Amazon, Monoprix, Rousselet, Econocom, etc.), due to the strategic position of this commune at the gates of the capital, on the banks of the Seine and linked both to the logistics centre of Gennevilliers and to the largest business district in Europe, La Défense.
Particularly attractive, Clichy is undergoing an exceptional renewal, combining the construction of new public facilities (crèches, schools, multimedia libraries) with the arrival of new public transport lines (Line 14 of the metro, Tramway). The settlement of new residents, the multiplication of ambitious real estate projects, both in terms
of offices and housing, and the establishment of innovative companies, all contribute to making this small first ring town one of the city's highlights.
Implemented by the Duval Group and the architect Rudy Ricciotti, the upcoming rebirth of the Maison du Peuple best symbolizes this momentum. This masterpiece designed by Jean Prouvé in the 1930s will host coworking and fooding areas, as well as cultural events regularly organized by the Centre Pompidou.
“Clichy has been suffering for years from heavy car traffic and a saturation of its parking spaces. As soon as I was elected, I brought together all the stakeholders in Ile-de-France traffic to convince them of the need for a new access ramp to the ring road, to relieve traffic congestion on our streets. I am confident about the outcome of this fight for a better control of the place of the car in our cities.
Clichy has only one public car park, while Saint-Ouen has 7 and Levallois more than 20. The new car parks will allow the Clichois, already benefiting from a preferential rate of €1 per day on the roads, to avoid polluting traffic jams. Sustainable development requires a balance between mobility. With the Department, we are giving a better place to soft traffic. Thanks to the Region, we are connecting to new public transport.
Similarly, Clichy is participating in the establishment of a Low Emission Zone, which limits access to the A86 by the most polluting vehicles. Like the streams that make up the great rivers, it is by combining all the solutions that we will contribute to improving air quality, which concerns both the attractiveness of our living environment and public health.”
Mayor of Clichy and Departmental Councillor of Hauts-de-Seine
"We were enthusiastic about this city project, which allowed us to showcase our technical know-how, our expertise as a parking manager and our renewed pleasure in accompanying cities in their development. This contract testifies to the trust that the city of Clichy has placed in us and we will be committed to supporting it in its dynamic development and urban comfort. The in-depth work of our teams with local players in the urban area and our relevant financial offer have enabled us to emerge among our competitors," says Michèle Salvadoretti, General Manager of Q-Park France.
