Official opening of Philharmonie parking lot in Paris
Today, we officially open our Philharmonie parking lot located below the iconic structure created by Jean Nouvel, the opening of which will also take place today.
An exceptional structure, exceptional parking! The Philharmonie de Paris is remarkable in its very original architecture, which is full of nooks and crannies on the surface and underground. Our team had to consider this specificity to optimise the number of available places and to guarantee easy circulation of vehicles. This is reflected in a particular attention to the alignment of places and to the signage, optimised by the advanced technology of guidance to the place. This new parking facility integrates in part a very innovative “House Style” design, a unique concept in Europe intended to offer a high quality parking experience. Therefore, the customers of the parking lot benefit from:
- One-way driveways
- An efficient illuminated signs
- An optimised system of guidance to the place
- Several access channels: 2 at the entrance and 3 at the exit providing the fluidity of traffic flow in and outside of the parking lot,
- 2 surface pedestrian accesses
The “House Style” design for this facility has been exceptionally arranged in the colours selected by Ateliers Jean Nouvel (bright red, light grey, anthracite grey) with the purpose of establishing a visual coherence of the entire architectural project. We also offer a complete range of complementary services intended to make traveling easier.
In addition to an exceptional quality of parking next to the concert hall, the parking facility will soon devote a part of its interior display to the rich programme of the Philharmonie. Moreover, music lovers can reserve their parking place in advance online on our site to be sure to arrive on time for the performance!
Parking in the service of culture and architecture
The realisation and management of Philharmonie parking facility expands our parking offer in Paris. This project also affirms our experience in conception and management of parking facilities located near iconic cultural places, such as the Opéra Bastille, the Louvre Museum, the Auditorium of Bordeaux, the National Opera of Marseille, inscribing the structures into the architectural and historic heritage of the cities where we work.
Michèle Salvadoretti, Director General of Q-Park France, comments: “The Philharmonie is one of the most anticipated and the most innovative architectural realisations of the capital and we are honoured to be a part of this great project. We reaffirm our proven experience in the conception and management of parking facilities next to the most iconic cultural places, as well as our significant objective to participate in highly technical and architectural projects”.
