Q-Park inaugurates Perrache Carnot car park in Lyon
Today Q-Park inaugurates its new car park in Lyon, Perrache Carnot Car Park.
An 8-year Public Service Contract enables Q-Park to strengthen its presence in Lyon
The Public Service Contract granted by the City of Lyon took effect on 1st July 2016, and has a term of 8 years, until 31st December 2024.
Formerly known as Parking des Messageries, located to the south of the SNCF train station and to the north of the Lyon Confluence district (Lyon 2), Perrache Carnot Car Park has 83 spaces, two of which are reserved for persons with reduced mobility.
Q-Park hereby strengthens its presence in the Perrache Confluence district, where the company has already been managing the Gare Perrache La Confluence Car Park since 2010.
Q-Park has a further presence in Lyon with Brotteaux Car Park (6th arrondissement) and Francfort-Gare à la Part Dieu Car Park (3rd arrondissement), having a combined total today of 1501 parking spaces across the city.
Six months of construction works to offer customers more security and convenience
The construction works carried out over 6 months, representing an investment of 150,000 euros, focussed on reinforcing security with the installation of 5 new CCTV cameras and technical supervision. The works also included various enhancements: adding Q-Park signage, clear and illuminated, and payment machinery characterized by bank card payment upon exit, restoration of the flooring (resin) and walls (two-tone paint). Thanks to these works, Perrache Carnot Car Park today bears the Q-Park signature and house style, so characteristic of the brand.
Michèle Salvadoretti, Director General of Q-Park France, stated: “Q-Park is very proud to inaugurate this new addition in Lyon today and to strengthen its presence in the city. We would like to thank the elected representatives of the City of Lyon for the trust that they place in us on this occasion.”
